Are you a widow or orphan in need?

• You must belong to a local church, or be identified by a local church as a needy widow in your community.
• That local church will provide a detail application form for you to fill. Then the pastor will sign.
• It is your pastor who will submit the application form to us for study and approval if your project is viable for funding. We serve the needy widows and orphans through the church for easy follow up of their spiritual lives and our funded projects.

Are you a local church with widows and orphans in need?

Requirements:

• Your church must show proof that you have a structured practical ministry to widows and orphans in your church.(List of widows in your church; a special committee in charge of the ministry to widows, list of identified needs of widows in the church/community; a plan of action towards meeting the identified, prioritized needs; etc. HoWiCo is training church leaders on how to go about this.
• The widow or orphan’s project you are requesting funding for, is going to be completed through joint efforts (contributions in cash or kind from the widow, her family, her local church, then HoWiCo). HoWiCo does not provide 100% funds for any project.

Are you a pastor in need of training for your church leaders on how to transform lives of widows and orphans, other people in need; and change the community?

The pastor of the local church agrees with his leaders to organize the training and writes a letter requesting HoWiCo as facilitators. The training is free! The church in question takes care of the transportation, lodging and feeding of the facilitators.

• It is more cost effective for more than one local church to organize the training in a given locality. In which case, the lead pastor in charge makes the request indicating the number of local churches involved.
• Usually, where there is more than one church, we recommend each local church pastor and two or three of his leaders to participate.
